In some cases, the device cannot be reset to factory settings because locks are still on. A good example of this is the iCloud lock. If a lock is still active on your device, we will contact you. It is almost always possible to remove the lock from a distance.

To ensure that we can test your device as quickly as possible and that you can receive your money as soon as possible, we ask you to remove the locks before shipment and to reset the phone to factory settings.
